SOUND MUSIC ROBOT :: a sound improvisation

A collaborative project, with artists Alex McKechnie, David Rogers and Adrian Newton improvising live electronic sound on the theme of world religions.

Joined on stage by Muffy, who will be listening to what they are playing and responding with sounds and images. Muffy is a piece of DIY software, designed to improvise sounds and images in response to live musicians.

David Rogers [electricbackroom] will be hosting a ‘SoundCamp’ in and around DIVAcontemporary STUDIO on Sunday 1st May beginning at 5am. David Rogers will be working with Mandy Rathbone, ivon oates, Victoria Pirie and invited artists.

‘SoundCamp’ is a series of outdoor listening events on International Dawn Chorus Day, linked by Reveil: a 24 hour broadcast of the sounds of daybreak, relayed live by audio streamers around the globe.

PNEM Sound Art Festival 2015
Saturday 14 + Sunday 15 November
The festival is located in Uden in the south of The Netherlands, close to the borders of Belgium (Eindhoven) and Germany (Nijmegen). An international platform of new experimental music, noise and sound installations, acoustic and electronic, performance and visual music made by today’s talent.

‘The Wood Walk Experience’ has grown into an app, which can be heard now on 365 days a year in the nearby woods. The first artists will be: Alan Dunn UK, Barry O’Halloran IE, Bart van Dongen NL, David Prescott-Steed AU, David Rogers UK, Sam Marshall UK, Katherine Trimble USA, Osvaldo Cibils IT, Sandrine Deumier and Alx P.op FR and Simon Perez AR.
